Job summary

Springfield Hospital in Vermont seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide patient-centered care across inpatient services, swing bed programs, and community-based diagnostics. You will evaluate and treat communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders with tailored plans.

Strong dysphagia expertise, MBSS interpretation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team are essential to support safe, functional outcomes in a rural setting. Vermont licensure and BLS are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited program.
• Master's or Clinical Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient-centered care across inpatient unit, swing bed program, and community-based services.
• Provide individualized evaluation and treatment for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders with tailored care plans.
• Evaluate dysphagia and MBSS studies for inpatients and community-referred patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary rehabilitation and medical teams to support optimal outcomes.
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and patient progress; communicate with providers for coordinated care.
• Participate in admission decisions, discharge planning, and recommendations for continued services.
