Job summary

LifeBridge Health is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification/Authorization Specialist to support Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy services at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. You will verify coverage, obtain authorizations, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely access to care.

You will maintain patient records, resolve insurance issues, and communicate with providers, therapists, and patients to ensure smooth coordination and compliance

Qualifications

• Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college).
• Two years professional or hospital billing experience.
• 1-3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and authorization for OT/PT/ Speech Therapy services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support benefit verification, prior authorizations, and scheduling support.
• Maintain accurate patient records and resolve insurance-related issues.
• Communicate effectively with providers, therapists, and patients to facilitate care coordination.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and payer requirements.

About the Role: Perform insurance verification and authorization for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy services to ensure accurate coverage determination and timely patient access to care. Collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to support backend operations, including benefit verification, prior authorizations, and scheduling support. Maintain accurate patient records, resolve insurance-related issues, and communicate effectively with providers, therapists, and patients to facilitate seamless care coordination. Contribute to efficient departmental operations while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and payer requirements. Delivers service in conjunction with Hospital's customer service standards and expectations.

Qualifications: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology through formal training/previous experience. Two years professional or hospital billing experience. 1-3 years of experience.

Pay Range: $17.00 to $24.75 Based On Experience
