Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX, is seeking a Physical Therapy Tech for full-time daytime shifts in Rehab PT. Under supervision, you will assist with therapy treatments, help restore patient function, and participate in department CQI and infection control activities.

Responsibilities include clerical duties, equipment handling, and ensuring safety during transport and treatment. Prior Therapy Tech experience is preferred; strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of Therapy Tech Competency Evaluation and job training.
• One year experience as Therapy Tech preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Basic awareness of physical medicine, therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values.
• Provide specific treatment as directed by staff therapist and therapy assistant.
• Monitor vital signs and ensure cardiovascular/respiratory precautions.
• Communicate changes in condition to staff therapist and nursing.
• Order, stock, and maintain records of adaptive equipment.
• Treat patients and families with respect and dignity.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain department cleanliness.
• Transports patients as scheduled and ensures safety.
• Prepare and clean treatment area for patient use.
• Record treatment/service revisions per policy.
• Be flexible, organized and work under stress.
