Travel Occupational Therapy Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030–$2,190
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel Occupational Therapist assignment

- Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Work Setting: On-site; acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, swing-bed, and assisted living
- Patient Mix: General medical, neurological, orthopedic, post-operative, upper-extremity, and developmental conditions
- Documentation System: Cerner
- Weekend and Holiday Coverage: None currently required
- Dress Code: Black scrubs or a black collared shirt with khaki pants
Occupational Therapist Job Requirements
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to practice occupational therapy in Illinois
- Current BLS certification
- At least 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience
- Pediatric experience required; pediatric occupational therapy is provided in the outpatient setting
- Experience evaluating and treating patients across a broad range of rehabilitation needs
- Ability to work independently across multiple healthcare settings and patient populations
- Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited program
Travel Occupational Therapist Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy plans of care
- Provide skilled assessment, treatment, patient education, and discharge planning
- Deliver occupational therapy services across acute inpatient, outpatient, swing-bed, and assisted-living environments
- Treat patients with conditions including CVA, hip fractures, post-operative joint replacement, adhesive capsulitis, tendon injuries, upper-extremity fractures, carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, developmental delay, autism, sensory issues, and related syndromes
- Provide pediatric outpatient therapy as clinically indicated
- Adapt occupational therapy interventions to support functional mobility, activities of daily living, safety, independence, and quality of life
- Collaborate with patients, families, nursing staff, providers, therapy assistants, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in Cerner and follow applicable clinical and regulatory standards
- Support a flexible caseload based on patient needs and scheduled clinical services
