Job summary

General Healthcare Resources, Inc. seeks an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Macomb, Illinois. You will work on-site across acute inpatient, outpatient rehab, swing-bed and assisted living settings, evaluating and treating a broad patient mix.

Required are an OT degree, Illinois license or eligibility, and a current BLS. Pediatric outpatient work is provided; Cerner is the primary documentation system. December start with four 10-hour days weekly.

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois OT license or eligibility to practice OT in Illinois.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • At least 1 year of OT experience.
  • Pediatric experience in outpatient setting.
  • Experience evaluating and treating a broad range of rehabilitation needs.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple settings and patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized OT plans of care.
  • Provide skilled assessment, treatment, education, and discharge planning.
  • Deliver OT services across acute inpatient, outpatient, swing-bed and assisted-living settings.
  • Treat conditions including CVA, hip fractures, post-op joint replacement, adhesive capsulitis, tendon injuries, and upper-extremity disorders.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, nursing staff and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Maintain timely documentation in Cerner and comply with standards.
