Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Rehabilitation Nurse Technician for part-time evening shifts in brain injury care. The role supports the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, assists patients with daily living activities, and helps with therapy readiness and safety.

A sign-on bonus is offered and the position supports 0.6 FTE with flexible scheduling. Under RN supervision, you will perform tasks including vital signs, transfers, and basic wound and skin care, while contributing to quality

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current CNA certification or enrollment in an RN program with two clinical rotations.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and provide high-quality customer service.
• 12-lead EKG competency within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility, promoting independence.
• Monitor vitals and report changes to RN.
• Support patient care plans and therapy readiness in rehabilitation.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and document care and assessments.
• Precept new staff and participate in unit quality improvement activities.
