Job summary

Bethesda Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to accurately assess residents, develop and adjust care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities include timely documentation, responding to changes in condition using SBARR, and assisting with ADLs. The role requires strong critical thinking, communication, and reliability in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• RN education from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the state you will be working (Missouri).
• CPR/AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Must possess critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, visitors and staff.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary.
• Ability to transfer and move patients weighing 200+ lbs with assistance.
• Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40 lbs using proper techniques and with assistance.
• Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with patients and equipment.
• Visual acuity with the ability to distinguish color.
• Ability to document electronically and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses residents’ health status on admission and on an ongoing basis.
• Develops dynamic care plans based upon identified needs through an interdisciplinary approach.
• Reviews and revises the care plan as resident needs change and communicates it to IDT members and families.
• Identifies nursing interventions including orders and educational needs; documents interventions timely.
• Uses critical thinking to respond to changes in condition and notifies physician via SBARR.
• Assists with activities of daily living and supports residents’ care needs.
