Job summary

High Shoals Health & Rehab is seeking a Rehabilitation Director/Therapist Assistant to oversee the daily operations of the facility's Rehabilitation Services department and provide direct patient care. The role includes administrative authority for care planning, staffing, and program development within a mission-driven non-profit setting.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy, GA PTA/OTA license, and prior SNF rehab experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy.
• Current, unencumbered license as PTA/OTA in Georgia.
• Prefer two years of SNF rehab experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily Rehab department operations and attends facility meetings.
• Provides direct patient care and additional support duties.
• Schedules patient care according to Plan of Care.
• Collaborates with Division Rehab coordinator to schedule staffing.
• Contributes to a positive teamwork environment and problem-solving.
• Interacts with interdisciplinary team for effective case management.
• Assists with insurance denials and medical records requests.
• Supports activities introduced by Skilled Nursing Facility and Rehab Services.
• Demonstrates superior customer service and communication.
• Maintains ongoing professional knowledge through education and journals.
• Performs other duties to ensure system success.
