Job summary
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Dietitian at Van Matre Rehabilitation Hospital to assess nutritional needs and create personalized dietary plans that support patient recovery. You will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to implement comprehensive nutrition strategies and monitor adherence.
The ideal candidate holds RD or RDN credentials, may require LDN license where applicable, and will stay current with nutrition research to inform rehabilitative care.
Qualifications
- Expertise in nutritional assessment and personalized meal planning.
- Strong communicative and educative abilities.
- Proficient in using dietary analysis software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Good organizational skills and detail-oriented.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
- Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN), if applicable by state.
Responsibilities
- Assess nutritional needs and dietary restrictions of patients.
- Develop personalized meal plans that align with medical treatment goals.
- Consult and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to integrate dietary plans with overall patient care strategies.
- Monitor patient adherence to dietary plans and adjust as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on proper nutritional care.
- Participate in patient case conferences and team meetings.
- Stay updated with the latest nutrition research and rehabilitative methods.
