Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support residents in daily living skills and independence.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team to promote safe, effective therapy and resident-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehab center, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to help residents improve functional independence and daily living skills.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Accurately document treatments and resident responses in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
• Assist residents with mobility, self-care, coordination, strength, and adaptive techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support positive resident outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and treatment goals as directed.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures.
