Midwest Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experienced certified rehabilitation veterinary technician to join our team and serve our community!

Midwest Veterinary Specialists is a busy surgical, rehabilitation, and sports medicine specialty hospital located in Greenfield, Wisconsin. New team members will collaborate with a certified rehabilitation veterinarian, a board-certified specialist in sports medicine and rehabilitation (DACVSMR), two board-certified surgeons (DACVS), and a dedicated support staff. Our well-equipped facilities and comprehensive modalities enable us to provide exceptional care for athletic and companion dogs & cats, from consultation and diagnostics to therapeutic programs, ensuring optimal outcomes and improved quality of life. Rehabilitation services include outpatient and inpatient care, post-operative recovery, pain management, athletic conditioning, weight management, orthotic & prosthetic management, and geriatric health and mobility.

Our rehabilitation center features a large therapy area, Aquapaws SS underwater treadmill, Swimex jetted therapy pool, Airpaws 200 land treadmill, ceiling lift and track system, PulseVet Shockwave therapy, K-Laser Cube 4, Assisi Loop, Therapeutic Ultrasound, E-stim, Acupuncture, and spacious land-based therapy areas. We also have dedicated rooms for procedures and appointments, along with ample rehab kennel and run space. Large windows provide a cheerful environment with plenty of sunshine.

Diagnostic modalities include digital radiography with standing capability, advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound (with acoustoelastography), GE VCT Lightspeed 64 CT scanner, arthroscopy, IDEXX labs, and upcoming gait analysis and MRI systems. Our hospital uses cloud-based software such as EzyVet, VetRadar, Cubex, and Physiotec/Wibbi for streamlined workflow, treatment plans, communication, and billing.

The ideal candidate will have experience and enthusiasm for small animal rehabilitation, working with canine athletes and post-operative patients. Advanced rehabilitation certification (CCRP/CCRT/CCAT/CCRVT/CCRVN/CCRA, etc.) is preferred, but we support certification and further training for motivated individuals. Candidates should be comfortable conducting evaluations, implementing treatment plans, communicating with staff, referring veterinarians, and pet owners, as well as coaching junior support staff.
