Job summary

SSM Health Day Institute in Warrenton, MO is seeking a Rehab Aide to support outpatient rehabilitation services within a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves assisting therapists, transporting patients, and preparing patients for therapy sessions in a dynamic outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Missouri driver’s license, and a Class E shuttle license.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Current State Driver’s License in good standing required.
Class E license allowing for operation of the shuttle bus prior to start date.

Responsibilities

Lifts patients to/from mats, treatment and tilt tables, wheelchairs, and other equipment.
Assists patients with transfer activities to all surfaces.
Assists patients in donning/doffing all appliances specific to the facility/department.
Positions patients in parallel bars and prepares patients for standing with orthotic/prosthetic devices and equipment.
Transports patients to/from therapy as needed.
Assists therapist with other patient-related treatment activities and provides equipment.
Assist with patient-related activities, including equipment set-up and patient positioning for therapy session as outlined in the State Practice Act.
Maintains the department and department equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
