Job summary

The Rehab Aide I at Shriners Children’s assists licensed therapists in patient care and maintains a safe, clean therapy environment at our Springfield, MA location. You will help set up equipment, transport patients, and support treatment programs under supervision, while keeping treatment areas organized and ensuring supplies are available.

This role requires willingness to learn basic maintenance of equipment, greet families, and document cleaning per policy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in rehab/therapy is preferred.
• Willingness to learn maintenance of therapy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with set-up of equipment, patient transportation, and assists in patient treatment programs under the supervision of a therapist.
• Responsible for assisting therapists with non-direct patient care needs and tasks that improve the one-to-one treatment experience.
• Ensures all equipment and supplies are organized, available and accessible in treatment and storage areas.
• Maintains inventory of routinely used supplies/equipment and orders additional inventory as needed.
• Regularly cleans treatment areas and equipment; documents cleaning per guidelines and policies.
• Greets patients, families, and visitors promptly and notifies therapist of arrival.
