Job Description

General Purpose of Job: Provide assistance in the provision of patient care and non-patient related activities to support day-to-day operations of the department.

Essential Duties: This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position. Assist rehab therapists with direct patient care. Prepare patient treatment areas and treatment materials. Perform general maintenance activities to promote a clean and safe work environment. Monitor and request maintenance on equipment. Participate in Quality Improvement program. Order equipment and material as needed for the department, monitor supplies, restock and maintain appropriate supply levels. Participate in staff meetings and in-services. Serves as a role model for consistent demonstration of Sparrow Health Systems Customer Service Behavioral Standards of Performance, by respecting the Privacy and Confidentiality of those we serve. Maintain files of items purchased, checking in all items received. Monitor and order laundry supplies as needed. Recommend purchases to maintain departmental functioning and efficiency. Assist with chart closures.
