Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a clerical support member for Outpatient Rehabilitation services at multiple locations. Responsibilities include patient registration, scheduling, and POS collections, along with general office duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• Combination of education and experience considered.
• BLS certification by the AHA within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients with accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule referrals and appointments for multiple areas and disciplines.
• Handle Point of Service collections for current and past balances.
• Perform general office duties including answering multi-line phones, faxing, and filing.
• Prepare medical records for scanning.
• Provide courteous patient service using AIDET principles.
• Navigate the EMR system and complete tasks daily.
• Explain insurance benefits, deductibles and coverage to patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Outpatient Rehabilitation service lines.
