Job summary

Radiant, based in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Regulatory Systems Engineer to drive the licensing process for the world’s first portable nuclear microreactor. You will own the license application, coordinate with regulators and engineering teams, and integrate test results with regulatory justifications to deliver timely approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nuclear, mechanical, electrical engineering or CS.
• 2+ years certifying or auditing hardware in production settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation abilities.
• Experience deriving requirements and defining interfaces during product design.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end licensing efforts to fulfill an application deliverable.
• Interface with NRC and internal stakeholders to drive regulatory results.
• Oversee design reviews and regulatory/quality documents; compile data products and reports.
• Review regulatory approaches to ensure Radiant’s licensing paths remain efficient.
• Ensure completeness and quality of licensing submissions.
• Write software scripts to automate data analysis and documentation.
