Job summary

Avangrid’s UIL Regulatory team in Connecticut seeks a senior leader to guide regulatory strategy and policy development for electric distribution rates and rate design. The role involves acting as a lead witness at public utility commission hearings, directing tariff management, and coordinating cross-functional teams to drive regulatory projects to completion.

You will mentor staff, participate in negotiations with regulators, and shape policy on matters like rate cases, reconciliation dockets,

Qualifications

Must have strong technical writing capabilities.
Must know distribution regulatory processes and regulatory terminology.
Must be able to communicate persuasively both orally and in writing.
Experience dealing with regulators, outside counsel, and regulatory participants.
Bachelor’s degree as stated in education requirements.

Responsibilities

Oversee Connecticut Electric Tariff group and guide team operations.
Provide written and oral testimony in regulatory proceedings, including major tariff filings and rate design.
Lead as lead witness in distribution rate proceedings before the Connecticut PURA.
Coordinate cross-functional project work and ensure timely delivery of requirements.
Develop and implement regulatory strategy and policy across multiple subjects.
