Job summary

Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Health Care Practitioner Regulation, is seeking a Regulatory Specialist III – Team Lead in Tallahassee. The incumbent works with the Regulatory Supervisor to ensure timely processing, prepares board materials, and mentors RSIII processors.

Responsibilities

• Process, evaluate and determine eligibility for complex licensure applications.
• Review files for CNA, LPN, RN, and APRN licensure; communicate deficiencies and statuses.
• Verify licensure statuses and any disciplinary actions via NURSYS or state sites.
• Prepare summaries and packets for board meetings and notices of hearing.
• Monitor background screening results and update application statuses.
• Draft and provide Notice of Hearing documents to applicants.
• Distribute daily work and assist RSIII processors on the Advanced Processing Team.
• Train new RSIII processors and manage workload to meet timeframes.
• Run Livescan reports and research licensure history for proper routing.
