Qualifications

• Strong science writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to turn complex scientific principles into simple messages.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues outside the immediate team.
• Graduate program preferred, with some lab or field research experience.
• Intent to return to academic studies after internship.

Responsibilities

• Understand U.S. agencies involved in regulation of Bayer Crop Science products (EPA, USDA, FDA, Coordinated Framework).
• Support preparation of comments on Federal Register requests and other proposed policy changes.
• Learn how regulatory policies are developed, updated, and implemented through guidance documents and regulations.
• Understand the role of industry associations, academics, and stakeholders in regulatory discussions.
• Review and draft regulatory policy documents, including comment submissions and briefing materials.
• Translate complex scientific principles into clear, relatable messages supporting Bayer’s positions.
