Job summary

The Bayer Crop Science Regulatory and Policy Science Intern role offers exposure to how scientific evidence informs regulatory and policy decisions on biotechnology, genome editing, and microbials at national and international levels.

You will build understanding of EPA/USDA/FDA processes, draft regulatory documents, and translate complex science into clear messages while collaborating with a diverse team in a mission-driven environment dedicated to sustainable agriculture.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student (junior) or holder of a bachelor's degree in a life science-based discipline.
• Strong science writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex science into clear messages.
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build understanding of U.S. agencies involved in regulation (EPA, USDA, FDA).
• Support preparation of comments on Federal Register requests and other policy changes.
• Learn how regulatory policies are developed and implemented through guidance and legislation.
• Review and draft regulatory policy documents and briefing materials.
• Translate complex scientific principles into clear messages supporting Bayer's positions.
