Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) licenses and certifies health care providers and suppliers through on-site surveys or documentation reviews as part of the State Licensure and Medicare/Medicaid programs.

The Division of Health Service Regulation conducts surveys and investigations to ensure facilities meet state licensure and federal certification requirements, with a focus on safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of professional nursing principles and techniques (nursing process).
• Knowledge of health care organization and management, state licensure rules, and federal standards.
• Intermediate computer skills: Windows XP Pro, MS Office, data management, electronic work completion.

Responsibilities

• License and certify health care providers and suppliers in State Licensure and Medicare/Medicaid programs.
