Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Manager, Regulatory Reporting to support the U.S. Finance department and ensure regulatory filings are accurate and compliant.

The role covers preparation and review of reports across multiple cycles, with emphasis on data quality and controls within the Houston Branch scope. The ideal candidate has strong US GAAP knowledge, 5+ years in financial/regulatory reporting in banking or consulting, and proficiency with AXIOM and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing regulatory reports for large banking or financial services organizations.
• Excellent Excel skills and data analysis abilities.
• High attention to accuracy, controls, and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare regulatory reports under US GAAP across daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cycles (e.g., FR2900, FFIEC 002).
• Review regulatory filings for accuracy and compliance with instructions and controls.
• Operate AXIOM to produce regulatory filings and monitor data quality issues.
• Document data quality issues and drive remediation with the team.
• Collaborate with AXIOM Project team, Data Governance, IT, Treasury, and Risk to implement new reporting requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate in end-to-end testing on AXIOM BAU releases and support audits and external exams.
• Create/update Policies, Procedures, process flows, and risk control matrices.
• Assist in data collection for regulatory reporting dashboards and prepare internal presentation decks.
• Develop training materials and conduct trainings as necessary.
