Job summary

IntePros is seeking an Accountant II – Finance to support regulatory reporting in a broker-dealer environment. This role focuses on transforming financial data into accurate, compliant reports through data analysis, reconciliations, and control checks.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with strong Excel skills, capable of handling large datasets and providing ad hoc analysis for special projects. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing regulatory and financial reports for a broker-dealer environment.
• Support end-to-end reporting processes including data retrieval and calculations.
• Analyze data to identify exceptions, discrepancies and trends.
• Perform account reconciliations and control checks for data accuracy.
• Work with large Excel datasets using Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support special projects as assigned.
• Create, maintain, and update written desktop procedures and documentation.

This role plays a key part in transforming financial data into accurate, compliant regulatory reporting through data analysis, reconciliations, and control checks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and highly proficient in Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of regulatory and financial reports for a broker-dealer
• Support end-to-end reporting processes, including data retrieval, aggregation, and calculations
• Analyze data to identify exceptions, discrepancies, and trends
• Perform account reconciliations and control checks to ensure data completeness and accuracy
• Work with large datasets in Excel using advanced functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support special projects as assigned
• Create, enhance, and maintain written desktop procedures and documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to support reporting and compliance initiatives

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting or Finance)
• Relevant experience in accounting or finance
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and similar functions)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Preferred

• Experience supporting regulatory or financial reporting in a financial services or broker-dealer environment
• Familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, and PowerPoint
• Ability and willingness to learn and apply new data analysis and reporting tools
