Job summary

OneMain Financial seeks an Accountant in Regulatory Reporting to extract data from the data warehouse and GL for timely regulatory filings. You will prepare complex financial and regulatory reports to ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will analyze data, document procedures, and collaborate with Licensing and Compliance. The position offers a hybrid schedule in Irving, TX with opportunities for growth within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 1–2 years of progressive accounting or reporting experience.
• Proficient in Excel and able to access and process data.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with GAAP and financial statement prep and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Produce organized documentation and procedures per regulatory reporting instructions.
• Cross-train in preparing other government reports.
• Maximize automation to improve report quality and efficiency.
• Prepare financial and regulatory reports ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Respond to internal/external inquiries regarding financial data.
• Collaborate with Licensing and Compliance teams.
