Job summary

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES is seeking a Government Analyst I to support the Director’s Office. The role focuses on regulatory planning, analysis, and rulemaking, coordinating with JAPC and attorneys, and ensuring timely publication of notices.

The incumbent will oversee records management, SOP coordination, and ADA compliance, while maintaining strong organizational processes and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders in Tallahassee.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional experience in regulatory planning, research, or analysis, compliance review, or administrative work.
• A master’s degree (6 years) from an accredited college or university can substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
• Requires possession of a valid Class E driver license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the division’s rulemaking processes, and tracks, monitors, and implements statutory changes to rules.
• Liaises with JAPC and department attorneys on rulemaking packages and prepares notices for publication.
• Executes records management, SOP coordination, and ADA compliance tasks for the division.
