Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, CA, seeks a Wireless RF Hardware Engineer to ensure regulatory compliance for new wireless products with advanced radio tech.

You will translate emission requirements into system specs for chipsets and platforms and collaborate with RFHW, Antenna, EE, and Product Design teams to ensure designs meet worldwide standards. A Bachelor's degree with 10+ years in RF/antenna development and experience with MATLAB, HFSS, CST, or ADS is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to RF/Embedded systems.
• 10+ years of experience in RF/Antenna system development for wireless.
• Experience with regulatory/conformance specs for consumer products.
• Experience with RF layout review, radiated sub-system review, and system grounding.
• Experience with tools like MATLAB, HFSS, CST, ADS.

Responsibilities

• Drive Apple’s wireless design and adherence to Worldwide Regulatory/Compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with System/EE, PD, HW Design, Chipset, Antenna, and Product Design teams.
• Review hardware designs and sign off on PCB/flex layouts, grounding, and shielding for compliance.
• Characterize Apple wireless products toward WW regulatory compliance.
• Debug/FA wireless compliance issues through hands-on hardware experiments and root-cause analysis.
• Define and implement SW/FW features including Regulatory Power tables.
• Perform schematic/layout reviews and HW fixes via mockups.
• Develop test plans for world-wide wireless regulatory compliance.
