Apple Inc. seeks a regulatory test engineer to validate emission test cases in certification test setups, translate worldwide emission requirements into test cases, coordinate with Regulatory Compliance teams, define and implement validation plans for regulatory‑facing software features, debug marginal/failure tests, collaborate with RFHW, Antenna, Product Design, EE and related teams, maintain test setups, and help plan and deliver final certification testing at third‑party labs.

Pay & Benefits

Base pay ranges from $181,100 to $272,100 per year. Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, telecommunications or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Performing characterization of wireless products towards worldwide compliance requirements.
  • Performing initial HW/SW bring‑up on Prototype Hardware.
  • Debugging FA Wireless compliance related issues.
  • Collaborating with HW Design, FEM Vendors, Chipset vendors, Antenna, and Product design teams to come up with HW fixes.
  • Performing schematic/layout reviews and HW fixes via mockups.
  • Defining and implementing various SW/FW features including Regulatory Power tables.
  • Reviewing World‑wide Wireless Regulatory/Compliance specs and developing test plans.
  • Using knowledge of worldwide Regulatory standards in relation to carrying a product to certification.
  • Review schematic and layout of product with design team to provide feedback regarding RF/EMI regulatory requirements.
  • Running RF Test Automation using Python and collaborating with SW team for any improvement required for RF testing.
