Job summary

Advocates Legal Recruiting is sourcing a mid-level associate for a Washington, DC Financial Services group within an AmLaw 100 client. The role centers on bank regulation, enforcement and fintech/digital asset work for major financial institutions and Fortune 100 companies.

You will advise on safety and soundness, BSA/AML, consumer protection and regulatory design, while supporting investigations and enforcement matters across Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC, FinCEN and state regulators.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience focused on bank regulatory, fintech or crypto work.
• Strong research, writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with partners on complex matters.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Admission to the DC Bar or eligibility to practice in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Advise banks and financial institutions on federal and state regulatory issues.
• Support investigations, examinations and enforcement matters with regulatory agencies.
• Work on fintech and cryptocurrency regulatory matters and product development guidance.
• Contribute to legislative and policy work and regulatory communications.
• Draft regulatory analyses, memoranda, letters and regulator submissions.
