Job summary

Ameren Services (B&CS) seeks a Senior Financial Specialist to prepare, review and analyze transactions affecting subsidiary financial statements. The role involves producing regulatory filings with the SEC, FERC and state commissions, and delivering internal financial reports.

The candidate will research accounting issues, propose policy, and identify process improvements while working with diverse teams. A CPA and 3+ years of accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA required. Master's Degree preferred.
• Three or more years of accounting experience with thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
• Reporting experience (e.g. SEC and FERC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare external regulatory filings with the SEC, FERC and State Public Service Commissions
• Prepare, review, analyze and interpret complex accounting, financial and statistical data
• Produce and review internal financial/operational reports
• Research and propose Company policy on financial and reporting matters
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, procedures and controls
• May review work prepared by contract employees
• May prepare or assist with executive-level presentations
• Perform core responsibilities and monitor risks with general direction
• May prepare and deliver department presentations
• Perform other special financial projects as necessary
