Job summary

Kin Insurance is seeking a Compliance Reporting & Data Analyst to build reporting for regulators and audits as Kin scales across more states. You’ll collaborate with Compliance, Finance, Product, and Data Engineering to ensure accurate, complete, and defensible numbers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, compliance reporting, or a similar analytical role.
• Working proficiency in SQL, including joins, aggregation, and reconciliation checks.
• Experience translating regulatory reporting requirements into structured data needs.
• Track record of investigating data discrepancies and remediation.
• Precise, detail-oriented with well-organized documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple recurring reporting deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Translate regulatory and financial reporting requirements into report logic and data definitions.
• Develop, maintain, and update regulatory and compliance reports for filings and audits.
• Validate data used in compliance submissions and escalate exceptions.
• Own reporting readiness for new products and state launches, including data validation.
• Investigate reporting discrepancies and drive remediation with Data Engineering, Finance, and Product.
• Write and execute validation tests for data pipelines and close gaps with Data Engineering.
• Build and maintain automated reporting processes, data-quality checks, and alerts.
• Document report logic, data definitions, controls, validation procedures, and processes.
