Job summary

Kin Insurance, Inc. seeks a Compliance Reporting & Data Analyst to help build Kin's regulatory and financial reporting muscle as we scale into new states. You’ll partner across Compliance, Finance, Product, and Data Engineering to ensure accurate, complete, and defensible numbers for regulators, auditors, and leadership.

In this newly created role, you’ll own reporting readiness for new products and state launches, validate data, and build automated checks to keep Kin audit-ready.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, compliance reporting, insurance regulatory reporting, or similar analytical role
• Proficient in SQL with joins, aggregation, and reconciliation checks
• Experience translating reporting requirements into structured data needs
• Track record of investigating data discrepancies and driving remediation
• Precise, detail-oriented with clear documentation

Responsibilities

• Translate regulatory and financial reporting requirements into report logic and data definitions
• Develop and maintain regulatory and compliance reports for state filings, audits, and exams
• Validate data used in submissions and escalate exceptions
• Own reporting readiness for new products and state launches, including post-launch data validation
• Investigate discrepancies, isolate root causes, and drive remediation with cross-functional teams
• Write and run validation tests to ensure data pipelines output accurate reports
• Build and maintain automated reporting, data-quality checks, and alerts
• Document report logic, data definitions, controls, and validation procedures
• Produce and reconcile data feeds for month-end close
• Research data and support regulators/auditors with documentation and improvements
