Caterpillar Inc. is hiring a Technical Regulatory Compliance Advanced Technology Engineering Specialist at the Clayton Machine Development Center in Clayton, NC.

This role supports product regulatory compliance programs and collaborates with product, technology, and operations teams to ensure compliant products across markets. The role requires a strong commitment to Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, and Commitment, with a focus on solving customers’ toughest challenges.

Qualifications

• Ability to collect, document, and synthesize data from multiple sources to support regulatory decisions.
• Demonstrated accuracy in processing detailed technical information.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, compliance, operations).
• Ability to organize data, assess risks, and support informed compliance decisions.
• Knowledge of regulatory and business risk management tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with identification, assessment, and mitigation of regulatory risks related to product technology and systems.
• Stay current on regulatory requirements and apply knowledge to Caterpillar products.
• Use processes to collect, assess, and manage information for certification and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering, controls, and R&PC engineers to meet lifecycle requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and methods for regulatory risk management.
• Document findings and recommendations clearly for internal stakeholders.
