Job summary

Premera Blue Cross seeks a Senior Regulatory Compliance Consultant to actively support its Regulatory Compliance & Ethics program. The role partners with Legislative Affairs and Legal to guide internal teams on new laws and regulations while engaging external regulators.

You will advocate for Premera's interests, track regulatory activities, and develop education tools for managers and employees to promote ethical behavior and compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four (4) years' work experience in required areas.
• Six (6) years' experience in regulatory/compliance/public policy/internal audit.
• Willingness to obtain CCEP designation within one year.
• CCEP certification (Preferred).
• JD (Preferred).
• Healthcare or insurance background (Preferred).
• Advanced degree (Preferred).
• Experience advocating with regulators (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, and track regulatory agency activities and advise on advocacy positions.
• Manage inquiries and exams from state and federal regulators and build regulator relationships.
• Identify regulatory issues and propose informed solutions; prepare written reports and corrective action plans.
• Interact with all levels of management to ensure comprehension and timely analysis of regulatory questions.
• Lead the Advocacy Committee and draft consolidated responses to regulators.
