Sharps Compliance, Inc. is seeking a Regulatory Specialist to help keep our facilities and operations compliant with federal and state regulations.

You will monitor environmental, medical waste, DOT hazmat, and pharmaceutical licensing requirements across multiple states, ensuring accurate documentation and timely training. You will coordinate with teams to prepare for inspections, respond to agencies, and maintain permits, licenses, and policies.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required in Environmental Science, Public Health, Regulatory Affairs, or related field.
• 5+ years of regulatory compliance, EHS, or related role.
• Experience with medical/hazardous waste, healthcare, or hazardous materials transportation is a plus.
• Knowledge of EPA/RCRA, NPDES, DOT/PHMSA, Board of Pharmacy licensing, or DEA requirements.
• Strong communication and ability to translate regulations for non-technical audiences.
• Experience delivering compliance training.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor federal and state regulations related to medical, biomedical, and hazardous waste (EPA/RCRA, Clean Water Act, state requirements).
• Manage stormwater and wastewater compliance, including permits, sampling, reporting, and inspections.
• Support DOT/PHMSA hazardous materials compliance, including packaging, labeling, shipping papers, and trainer requirements.
• Manage Board of Pharmacy licenses for pharmaceutical waste (applications, renewals, inspections, multi-state needs).
• Support DEA controlled-substance compliance (registrations, storage, inventories, recordkeeping, reporting).
• Prepare for and support regulatory inspections and audits by DEA, EPA, DOT, and state Boards of Pharmacy.
