Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a regulatory compliance professional to support Oregon’s oversight of agencies serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will review investigation and licensing reports to determine sanctions and necessary corrective actions.

You will analyze evidence for enforcement thresholds, apply Oregon laws and rules, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Five years’ experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action or decide compliance or eligibility with program guidelines and regulations.
  • Three of the five years must be above the technical support level.
  • College-level coursework may substitute for experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year, up to a maximum of three years.
  • Experience interpreting and applying Oregon laws, administrative rules, policies, and regulatory requirements to evaluate compliance and determine appropriate actions.
  • Experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities services, regulatory compliance, investigations, or related human services programs to analyze complex information and resolve compliance issues.
  • Experience applying analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate information, make sound decisions, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, while collaborating with internal partners, service providers, stakeholders, and community partners to provide consultation and support.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities through strong organizational and time management skills while maintaining accurate documentation and meeting competing deadlines.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating professionalism, adaptability, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in supporting the state’s regulatory oversight of agencies that provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Review protective service investigation reports, complaint investigations, and licensing reports to assess whether sanction activity is warranted.
  • Ensure compliance with Senate Bill 136 and federal regulations by identifying non‑compliant entities and recommending appropriate corrective actions or sanctions.
  • Analyze the relevance and adequacy of evidence presented in complaint reports to determine whether it meets the threshold for enforcement action.
  • Contribute to the decision‑making process regarding the type and scope of corrective measures to be applied.
