Job summary

Great Southern Bank is seeking a Compliance Specialist I to assist in reviewing legislative affairs, legal review, and regulatory compliance across the organization. You will help formulate policies and procedures and ensure understanding of regulatory matters with officers and staff.

The role engages in monitoring, data compilation, and training to implement corrective actions and new policies. Springfield, MO hiring with a focus on the St. Louis metro area; travel minimal.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of regulatory banking requirements including Regulations B, C, E, X, Z, CC, and DD.
• Proficient in Excel and Word Processing; PowerPoint basics.
• Strong data entry skills and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing legislative affairs, legal review, and regulatory compliance.
• Support policy and procedure development related to regulatory compliance.
• Interact with bank officers, managers, and staff to communicate regulatory matters.
• Monitor data and report results to management as assigned.
• Follow up on monitoring items to ensure corrective action and training as needed.
• Support special compliance projects and back up other staff as required.
• Monitor regulatory information and disseminate it to Compliance management.
• Maintain punctual attendance and professional communication in all duties.
