The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission's Division of Market Oversight seeks an attorney to support regulatory product filing reviews and compliance analyses.

You will perform legal analyses, risk assessments, and communicate regulatory requirements to market participants in a clear and timely manner. Positions are available at CT-11 through CT-14 levels with increasing responsibility, including potential lead roles on interdivisional initiatives as experience grows.

Qualifications

• J.D. and bar membership in good standing (DC, US territory, or Puerto Rico) with post-J.D. experience.
• CT-11: J.D./LL.M. and 1 year of relevant legal practice post-J.D.
• CT-12: J.D./LL.M. and 2 years of relevant legal practice post-J.D.
• CT-13: J.D./LL.M. and 3 years of relevant legal practice post-J.D.
• CT-14: J.D./LL.M. and 4 years of relevant legal practice post-J.D.

Responsibilities

• Support the review process for product filings and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct legal analyses and risk assessments for regulatory actions.
• Interact with market participants to communicate regulatory requirements and interpretations.
• Lead interdivisional projects and provide formal regulatory guidance as duties expand.
