Job summary

American Electric Power in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Regulatory professional eager to learn the electric utility industry in pricing and analysis. The role focuses on manipulating large Excel datasets and supporting base rate case pricing witnesses.

You will work mostly independently, develop knowledge of regulatory matters, and interact with management and regulatory bodies. Occasional travel and on‑call requirements are part of the role, with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in regulatory or analytical work, or an equivalent combination.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• CPA, CIA, PE, or similar certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist regulatory base rate case pricing witnesses with data analysis and testimony preparation.
• Manipulate large Excel datasets to support revenue requirement, cost of services, and rate design.
• Prepare and present complex regulatory topics to management and regulators.
• Support discovery responses and respond to regulatory audits as needed.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment on regulatory strategies.
