Hanson Search is exclusively partnering with a fast-growing, venture-backed advanced nuclear energy company to appoint a Regulatory Analyst to its Washington, D.C. team.
Our client is building a genuinely new global industry, deploying nuclear energy technology to serve ports, industry and grids. Much of the regulatory pathway for what they do is still being written, which makes this a rare chance to shape how a new sector is regulated from the ground up.
Reporting to the Vice President, Regulatory and Licensing, you'll carry out the research and analysis that underpins the company's regulatory strategy in the US and internationally. You'll take a defined question, find and verify the primary sources, work out what applies and what doesn't, and set out plainly what the business needs to know before it commits.
Recent work includes responding to a proposed NRC rulemaking, reviewing how long-standing federal legislation affects the build and operation of new energy infrastructure, and early work on environmental permitting at a candidate US site.
