OpenAI is seeking a Product Policy Manager, Regulation to translate evolving regulatory and legislative trends into concrete research, product, and policy requirements. You will blend regulatory expertise with deep AI understanding to guide Product, Engineering, Research, and Safety teams, collaborating with Legal and Global Affairs to develop actionable options.

• Substantial experience in AI or technology regulation, public policy, product policy, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory developments across jurisdictions and translate into actionable requirements.
• Strong record of advising product, engineering, and research teams.

Responsibilities

• Map and prioritize regulatory and legislative developments across jurisdictions and AI issue areas.
• Translate external developments into actionable research questions, evaluation needs, product requirements, and policy recommendations.
• Advise Product, Engineering, Research, and Safety teams throughout design, launch, and iteration; partner with Legal and Global Affairs.
