Job summary

System One is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist in Lyndhurst, NJ for a contract-to-hire role. You will coordinate TSCA compliance, prepare EPA submissions, and monitor federal/state chemical regulations. Collaboration with R&D, Procurement, and Legal ensures product stewardship and regulatory readiness.

The ideal candidate holds a chemistry-related degree and 2-3 years in regulatory affairs, with SAP experience and willingness to travel internationally for training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of product safety or regulatory affairs experience in the chemical industry or a closely related field.
• Experience using SAP or similar enterprise product stewardship/regulatory data management systems.
• Ability to interpret regulations and navigate government databases.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain compliance with TSCA and related regulations.
• Review inventory status for materials, formulations, imports, exports, and intercompany products.
• Prepare and support EPA submissions, including PMNs and NOCs.
• Monitor federal and state chemical regulations including PFAS and TSCA risk management.
• Maintain regulatory data in SAP and related systems.
• Respond to compliance inquiries regarding TSCA, PFAS, RoHS, and other requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D, Procurement, Product Management, Operations, EHS, Legal, Marketing, and Sales.
• Coordinate with suppliers and global colleagues for regulatory information.
• Maintain compliance records to support audits and due diligence reviews.
• Develop regulatory training, procedures, and work instructions.
• Support customer inquiries and emergency response with regulatory information.
