Job summary

Sika is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to ensure chemical and product regulatory compliance in the United States, including TSCA coordination and EPA submissions. You will work with R&D, Product Management, Procurement, and other teams to interpret evolving rules and implement compliant business processes.

Handling documentation, data in SAP, and support for inquiries will be key, with some travel for training. This role requires a chemistry-related BS and 2–3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical or related field with 2–3 years of product safety/regulated industry experience.
• Experience using SAP or a comparable regulatory data system.
• Ability to understand and navigate governmental databases.
• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to interpret regulations and translate requirements into actions.
• Good organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate TSCA compliance activities for raw materials, formulations, imports/exports, and intercompany products.
• Prepare and support EPA submissions and notifications, including PMNs, LVEs, NOCs, and CDR reporting.
• Monitor federal/state regulations, document impact assessments, and support implementation plans.
• Support documentation in SAP and other product stewardship systems with regulatory data.
• Provide timely responses to regulatory inquiries including TSCA certifications and RoHS considerations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Procurement, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, EHS, Legal, and Sales to implement compliant solutions.
• Coordinate with suppliers/global colleagues to obtain complete compliance information.
• Maintain regulatory files to demonstrate status and support audits and due diligence.
• Develop and deliver regulatory training, procedures, and guidance for cross-functional teams.
• Assist customers and Emergency Response with technical literature and regulatory information when needed.
