  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide a regulatory perspective for ongoing and upcoming initiatives; represent Benjamin Moore in industry groups.

Position Summary

In this role you will collaborate with Regulatory Team in interpreting global regulations, assist internal & external stakeholders with regulatory compliance and support new product development and evaluation.

Responsibilities
  • Generate Hazard Communication documents, preparing and reviewing Safety Data Sheet and Product Labels, ensuring product safety and regulatory compliance for paints and coatings in North America.
  • Monitor changes to regulatory requirements such as VOC regulations for US and Canada and sharing information with team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide a regulatory perspective for ongoing and upcoming initiatives within the organization and represent Benjamin Moore in industry groups (ACA).

A SUCCESSFUL REGULATORY SPECIALIST HAS THE FOLLOWING:

  • Strong knowledge of Global Harmonized System (GHS)
  • Knowledge of domestic and international chemical regulatory compliance
  • Experience in SDS & Label generation.
  • Hands-on experience with regulatory compliance software.
  • Working knowledge of Transport Classification Regulations (US and Canada) is desirable
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science in Chemistry, Biology, Occupational or Public Health and Safety, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety, Product Compliance, or EHS
  • Knowledge of paint or chemical processing is desirable.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in typical Office software.
