Job summary

Benjamin Moore & Co. is seeking a Regulatory Specialist to interpret global regulations and support new product development and evaluation. You will work with regulatory teams, assist stakeholders with compliance, and help ensure safety data sheets and labels meet NA requirements.

The role requires a chemistry/related science background, 3+ years in regulatory affairs, and collaboration across teams to navigate evolving standards. This is an on-site position based in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science in Chemistry, Biology, Occupational or Public Health and Safety, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
• 3+ years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety, Product Compliance, or EHS.
• Knowledge of paint or chemical processing is desirable.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing regulatory environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in typical Office software.

Responsibilities

• Generate Hazard Communication documents, preparing and reviewing Safety Data Sheet and Product Labels, ensuring product safety and regulatory compliance for paints and coatings in North America.
• Monitor changes to regulatory requirements such as VOC regulations for US and Canada and sharing information with team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide a regulatory perspective for ongoing and upcoming initiatives within the organization and represent Benjamin Moore in industry groups (ACA).

Position Summary

A SUCCESSFUL REGULATORY SPECIALIST HAS THE FOLLOWING:

• Strong knowledge of Global Harmonized System (GHS)
• Knowledge of domestic and international chemical regulatory compliance
• Experience in SDS & Label generation.
• Hands-on experience with regulatory compliance software.
• Working knowledge of Transport Classification Regulations (US and Canada) is desirable
