The Regulatory Affairs Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Company complies with all applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines. They are responsible for developing and implementing regulatory strategies, managing regulatory submissions, and liaising with regulatory authorities to ensure timely approvals. This position requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

·Formulate and implement regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulations.

·Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and communicate potential impacts to relevant stakeholders.

·Coordinate the compilation of necessary documentation for regulatory submissions.

·Prepare and submit regulatory documents, including but not limited to, ingredient lists, product labeling and other regulatory filings.

·Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with regulatory agencies.

·Quickly and accurately respond to queries and requests for additional information from regulatory authorities.

·Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing, to ensure regulatory requirements are considered and met throughout product development and lifecycle.

·Monitor and assess the impact of new regulations on existing products and processes.

·Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

·Identify and assess regulatory risks associated with product development and production.

·Develop and implement industry-backed strategies to mitigate regulatory risks.

·Coordinate regulatory submissions for international product registration (Primarily in Canada, the EU).

·Register applicable products for the "California Safe Cosmetic Act"

·Work with cross-functional teams to provide regulatory guidance on the development of projects and ongoing matters

·Support customer-facing teams with inquiries related to products and ingredients.

·Ensure efficient systems are in place to distribute regulatory information internally and externally as appropriate

·Efficiently work with vendors on regulatory matters, maximizing vendor relationships through strong professional partnership

·Execute all other tasks as directed by Operations and Executive leadership.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods. Must be able to operate desktop computers, multiple monitors, proprietary software, phones, and standard office equipment. Occasional bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 25 lb.) are required. The ability to effectively listen, understand and communicate by telephone and in person is vital to fulfilling the job’s essential functions.
