Job summary

Calbee America is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager to lead day-to-day regulatory compliance for products, packaging, ingredients, and manufacturing. You will collaborate with R&D, QA, Marketing, Operations, and suppliers to ensure FDA, FSMA, Canadian, and international compliance while enabling growth.

The role supports label reviews, specification management, certification programs, and regulatory documentation, reporting to the Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs within Corporate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science field related to food or regulatory affairs.
• 5–8 years of progressive regulatory affairs experience in food and beverage.
• Strong knowledge of FDA labeling, FSMA, allergen labeling and nutrition labeling.
• Experience supporting audits, inspections and certifications.
• Experience with suppliers, packaging vendors, and contract manufacturers.
• Knowledge of Non-GMO, Kosher, Gluten-Free, Organic standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Strong project management and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance programs for products, packaging, ingredients, and manufacturing.
• Review labels, ingredient statements, allergen declarations, and Nutrition Facts Panels.
• Maintain regulatory records, specifications, and certificates of analysis.
• Support supplier qualification and co-manufacturer compliance.
• Coordinate third-party certification programs and annual renewals.
• Prepare responses to regulatory inquiries and audits.
• Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science / Regulatory Affairs / Chemistry / Microbiology / Nutrition / related field

Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) or advanced degree

5-8 years regulatory affairs experience (food)

FDA labeling regulations / FSMA knowledge

Audits, inspections, certification programs experience

Experience with suppliers and co-manufacturers

Knowledge of Non-GMO, Kosher, Gluten-Free, Organic standards

Attention to detail & document management

Project management & organizational skills

Interpersonal, communication & team collaboration

MS Office & specification/document management tools

PCQI or HACCP certified (highly preferred)

FSVP knowledge & SQF training a plus
