Job summary

MDU Resources Group is hiring an Accounting-Regulatory Analyst I–IV to compile data for regulatory filings across natural gas, utility, gas, and electric segments. You will prepare analyses, support rate design, and present information for internal decision making and filings with FERC and state commissions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/related fields and progressive regulatory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, engineering, or related field.
• Experience with regulatory filings and rate case analysis preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepares rate case components and analyzes financial data for FERC and state commissions.
• Develops rate policies and assists with rate design and strategies.
• Supports expert testimony and data-request responses before commissions.
• Researches rates, rules, and terms of service and communicates findings to staff.
