Job summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia Office of the Attorney General is seeking a Regulated Products Enforcement Program Manager to lead statewide initiatives on regulated products, including liquid nicotine, hemp-derived products, kratom, and other emerging substances. This role collaborates with internal divisions, external agencies, businesses, and communities to enhance compliance and public safety.

The position focuses on education, outreach, and coordinating resources with the RPEU unit manager,

Qualifications

  • Progressive leadership experience in program management, grants management, or a related field.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and managing multiple high-impact programs.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives aligning priorities with community needs.
  • Experience collaborating with executives, attorneys, legislators, government agencies, law enforcement, nonprofits, and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, coordination, and implementation of statewide education and outreach plan for regulated products.
  • Support statewide public education and awareness efforts related to regulated products.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with the business community to promote regulatory compliance through education and outreach.
  • Build and sustain relationships with state/local government, law enforcement, public health organizations, industry, education, and community groups.
  • Promote information sharing across internal and external partners.
  • Monitor emerging trends and threats affecting regulated products and emerging substances.
  • Represent the Office at conferences, stakeholder meetings, and public outreach events.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials for executive leadership.
  • Coordinate educational materials, compliance resources, and outreach campaigns for regulated businesses and the public.
  • Collaborate with communications staff to ensure consistent messaging.
