Dupage County is seeking a Registry Certified Nursing Associate in Wheaton, Illinois. You will assist residents with personal care, maintain their comfort, and monitor their health while working eight-hour shifts with a focus on weekends and holidays.
Successful candidates must complete the State of Illinois Certified Nurse's Aide Training Program and pass the competency test. A strong commitment to resident care and the physical ability to meet job demands are essential. Compensation starts at $20.00 per hour, plus tenure payments based on experience.
As part of our registry team, you will work a minimum of eight (8) shifts per calendar month, six (6) of which must be weekend days. All shifts worked must be eight (8) hours. The total number of hours worked per year must not exceed 1,000 hours. Your schedule will require you to work: one (1) major summer holiday (Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4), or Labor Day); one (1) major winter holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day); and two (2) additional county holidays (Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, or Day after Thanksgiving). Base rate: $20.00 per hour plus additional hourly tenure payment based on years of experience as a C.N.A.
Physical requirements: Heavy work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than for medium work.
Work environment: The work environment for this position regularly includes working with residents and attending to their daily needs. The noise level is moderate to quiet.
