UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale is seeking an Outpatient Registration specialist to support early-morning to afternoon shifts in a full-time role. You will register patients, verify demographics and insurance, and assist with Medicare compliance and billing processes on a busy hospital front desk.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to multitask while delivering professional patient service in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic database programs.
• Ability to operate general office machines (computer, fax, printer, scanner).

Responsibilities

• Outpatient Registration 7am-3:30pm, 36 hours per week, every other weekend availability, two holidays per year.
• Performs Medicare compliance reviews and issues Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed.
• Creates accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collects payments or establishes payment plans.
• Coordinates with utilization management staff for pre-authorization issues and ensures patients have necessary logistical information.
• Contacts insurance companies to verify eligibility and benefits, and obtains pre-authorizations within established timeframes.
• Registers patients for all services, collecting demographic information and confirming insurance details.
